Swiftwater Rescue Course (ACA L4)

Aimed at aspiring river professionals or those needing to recertify, this course is a step up from skills covered in River Safety & Rescue. This course will cover in greater detail risk management, safety and prevention, self-rescue, team rescue, as well as the use of mechanical systems and specialized rescue equipment. An ACA-L4 certificate will be issued upon successful completion of this course. This certificate meets the minimum swiftwater course requirements for most whitewater guide companies.

What to bring
- Participants will be expected to provide their own wetsuit/drysuit (drysuit recommended), helmet, and type 5 rescue pfd.
- Other gear and safety equipment available for rent upon request
- Please come wearing outdoor/athletic clothing (no cotton or jeans) and shoes with straps or laces that can get wet (no flip-flops)
- Please bring your own lunch, water, and snacks!
